CMM Programmer

Duration: 6 12 months
Job Description:
Position Summary:
The CMM Programmer is responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing coordinate measuring machine programs to support dimensional inspection of aerospace components. This role plays a key part in ensuring inspection accuracy, product conformity, and manufacturing quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, validate, and maintain CMM programs for complex aerospace parts and assemblies;
interpret engineering drawings, GD T requirements, and inspection plans to ensure dimensional compliance;
support first article, in-process, and final inspection activities;
troubleshoot inspection issues and improve measurement efficiency, repeatability, and program robustness;
collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies and support corrective actions.
Required Qualifications:
Experience programming coordinate measuring machines in a manufacturing environment; strong understanding of GD T, blueprint reading, inspection methods, and measurement principles;
ability to work with tight tolerances and quality-critical components;
experience supporting production and inspection operations in a precision manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace manufacturing or MRO experience; familiarity with common CMM software platforms and metrology best practices; experience supporting high-mix or fast-turnaround inspection environments.
Work Arrangement / Engagement Notes:
This role is generally expected to support on-site inspection and validation activities.
