Title: CMMS Maintenance Planner
Location: Chicago, IL
Hire Type: Est. 9 month contract, Onsite
Target Pay Rate: $30.00/hour

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to help improve and organize Preventive Maintenance (PM) work inside a newly implemented CMMS system. The system is already live, but needs cleanup and structure. This person will take existing maintenance information and rebuild it into clear, standardized PM plans and asset records so the maintenance team can use the system effectively. You will work closely with maintenance and reliability leaders and help train technicians on how to use the system.
Job Duties:
- Review equipment and determine what maintenance is needed and how often
- Build and update Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans inside the CMMS system
- Create and upload job plans, task lists, and asset records
- Clean up and standardize existing maintenance documents and convert them into system format
- Make sure equipment is organized correctly in the system (asset structure and hierarchy)
- Work with maintenance and reliability teams to align PMs with real equipment needs
- Support technicians and supervisors as they learn and use the new system
- Provide occasional training sessions across multiple shifts
- Help ensure all maintenance data in the system is accurate and consistent
Qualifications:
- Experience in maintenance, reliability, or CMMS-related work
- Proficiency using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Strong mechanical understanding of how equipment works
- Familiarity with production or packaging equipment (e.g., conveyors, fillers, cappers, packers, and palletizers)
- Experience building or improving Preventive Maintenance program
- SAP PM or similar system experience is a plus
