Description

CMMS Maintenance Planner & MRO Inventory Coordinator

  • Location: Orangeburg, NY 10962
  • Engagement: 3–6+ months (potential extension)
  • Compensation: $20.00–$22.00 per hour (W-2)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM EST

A day in the role

Start your morning by reviewing the CMMS schedule, confirming that preventive maintenance tasks are prioritized and resourced. You align with production and operations on timing, then convert plans into clear work orders. As parts arrive, you receive, organize, and issue components so technicians have exactly what they need—when they need it. Through the day, you track progress, adjust timelines, and keep the inventory picture accurate with cycle counts and system updates. Before you wrap, you confirm minimum stock levels for critical spares and place orders or request quotes from vendors so the next shift is set up for success.

Core responsibilities

  • Develop, schedule, and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) activities within the CMMS.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage maintenance work orders from initiation to closeout.
  • Coordinate maintenance windows with production and operations to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee MRO spare parts and supplies—maintain stock levels and organize the storeroom.
  • Identify critical spare parts and uphold minimum inventory thresholds.
  • Receive, stage, and issue maintenance parts and materials to support active work.
  • Request quotes, place orders, and follow up with vendors for replacement parts.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to validate on-hand quantities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the CMMS or inventory management system.
