What a Typical Week Looks Like

You start by opening the CMMS and reviewing open work, preventive maintenance (PM) plans, and compliance metrics. With SAP as your hub, you ensure PM Work Order Compliance, Safety and Environmental WO Compliance, Non‑PM WO Efficiency, and PM Accuracy are on track. New assets introduced to the process flow are set up correctly, and you build the PMs and schedules to match.

Out in the field, you complete material take‑offs—measuring and verifying what’s needed using current Chemtrade piping specifications. Back at your desk, you convert those MTOs into purchase needs, place orders, and kit materials so every job has a clearly labeled, well‑organized pallet ready to go. You track orders and costs, keep production and operations looped in for lockout and permitting, and coordinate shipping logistics when work touches tank cars, rail, or truck loading.

With Microsoft Project 2010, you build and refine schedules for short outages and full turnarounds, partnering closely with on‑site leadership. You meet with supervisors to set job priority levels, confirm resource needs, and, when required, you step in as a backup to the Maintenance Supervisor. And because plants are dynamic, you handle other duties as assigned to keep everything moving safely and efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

• Use CMMS (SAP) to monitor and report on PM, Safety, and Environmental WO compliance; Non‑PM WO efficiency; PM accuracy; asset onboarding; PM creation; and schedule building.
• Perform accurate material take‑offs based on field measurements and current Chemtrade piping specifications.
• Procure materials and kit jobs (clearly labeled, stored properly) to enable efficient execution.
• Place jobs into the scheduling pool and coordinate timing with production/operations.
• Coordinate lockout/tagout and permitting; align with shipping/rail/truck logistics when applicable.
• Track purchase orders and job-related costs.
• Develop Microsoft Project schedules for short shutdowns and full turnarounds in partnership with site leadership.
• Collaborate with supervisors to set priorities and confirm material and resource needs.
• Serve as backup to the Maintenance Supervisor as needed; perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• 3+ years in a maintenance planner/scheduler capacity.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with CMMS platforms; SAP proficiency preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project 2010 and other relevant software tools.
