Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to join a Building & Construction team as a Field Technician II focused on construction materials testing with an emphasis on soils and concrete. You will perform field and site-based testing, project-specific observations, and site assessments to support major civil and commercial construction projects. Working closely with general contractors and project teams, you will operate testing equipment, interpret results, and provide clear, detailed reports that help ensure the safety, quality, and performance of new developments and existing assets.

Work Environment
The role is part of a Building & Construction team that delivers assurance, testing, inspection, certification, and building science solutions to the built environment. The team supports the architectural, engineering, and construction industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the laboratory and on site. You will primarily work in the field on day shifts, traveling from the office or home base to job sites and back, with travel time compensated on a portal-to-portal basis. Each day typically begins by arriving at the job site at the designated time, meeting with the General Contractor to review the schedule and scope of work, and planning testing activities such as concrete pours and soil compaction checks. Projects include a mix of small and large assignments, such as warehouses, plants, commercial buildings, public storage facilities, hotels, and institutional developments. A company vehicle with a gas card is provided for work-related travel. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
