CMU Plant Utility Technician

Where and When

• Location: Fishkill, NY
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday, 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $20 per hour
• Employment Type: Temporary (with potential to convert to hire)

What you’ll do

• Handle general housekeeping: clear raw materials, tidy equipment areas, and uphold cleanliness standards
• Lift, move, and stack concrete blocks (up to 50 lbs each) to keep production flowing
• Assist with material handling and step in across production tasks as needed
• Operate a forklift when required (experience preferred; ability to gain authorization is required)
• Help with basic maintenance and mechanical tasks under supervision
• Follow all safety protocols and consistently wear PPE
• Keep your work area organized and free of hazards

What you bring

• Ability to perform sustained physical labor and repetitive motions, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Comfort in an industrial environment with heat, cold, dust, fumes, and loud noise
• Capacity to stand for extended periods and work with gripping, grasping, and fine-motor tasks
• Forklift background is a plus; willingness to become authorized is essential
• Mechanical aptitude or prior assistance with maintenance is advantageous
• Proven reliability, punctuality, and availability for early shifts and Saturdays
• Team-player mindset with the ability to work independently
• Commitment to dress code: steel-toe boots, jeans, and a solid-color shirt
