Corvian Community School – Elementary Campus
At Corvian Community School, we believe every child deserves to be known, supported, and celebrated. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and hands-on Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide dedicated one-on-one support for an elementary student throughout the school day.

This position is about so much more than meeting medical needs. We are looking for someone who will build a trusting relationship with a student, foster independence whenever possible, and become a valued member of our caring school community. The ideal candidate is patient, kind, flexible, and enjoys working alongside children and educators in a collaborative environment.

    Position Responsibilities:
The CNA will provide direct support to one elementary student, including but not limited to:
    • Remaining within arm's reach of the student at all times to ensure safety and provide immediate support.
    • Assisting with activities of daily living, including toileting and personal hygiene while maintaining the student's dignity and privacy.
    • Administering medication in accordance with physician orders, school policy, and state regulations.
    • Monitoring the student's health, well-being, and comfort throughout the school day.
    • Supporting the student's participation in classroom instruction, specials, lunch, recess, field trips, and other school activities.
    • Collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, school staff, therapists, and families to provide consistent, student-centered support.
    • Maintaining accurate documentation related to medication administration, health concerns, and daily care as required.
    • Responding calmly and appropriately in emergency situations and communicating concerns promptly.
    • Promoting the student's independence while providing the level of support necessary for success.

    Qualifications:
    • Current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
    • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
    • Experience working with children is preferred.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
    • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist a student safely as needed.

    The Person We're Looking For:
Above all else, we are looking for someone with a heart for children.
    Our ideal candidate is:
    • Exceptionally kind, patient, and nurturing.
    • Calm under pressure and able to adapt to changing situations.
    • Reliable, attentive, and detail-oriented.
    • Comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
    • A positive team player who values relationships and collaboration.
    • Passionate about helping a child feel safe, included, and successful each day.

    Why Corvian?

Every member of our team plays an important role in helping children thrive, and this position is no exception.

If you are looking for meaningful work where you can make a lasting difference in the life of a child while becoming part of a warm and supportive school community, we would love to hear from you.
