Job Purpose: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Brecon Village, part of EHM Senior Solutions, is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents in a senior living environment. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and supporting the healthcare team in delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes in residents health or behavior to nursing staff. Support residents with mobility and physical activities, including transferring and positioning. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a nurturing and respectful atmosphere. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care. Document and communicate resident care activities and observations accurately and timely. Respond promptly to residents call lights and requests, ensuring their needs are met efficiently. Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program is necessary. Preferred Experience: Minimum of one year of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a healthcare setting. Experience in providing care to senior citizens or individuals with disabilities is preferred. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of patient care and medical terminology. Ability to assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to caregiving. Ability to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
