CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide direct patient care in a nursing home setting. Reporting directly to the Charge Nurse, this role focuses on supporting residents with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining safety and hygiene standards to ensure a comfortable and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care focused on the physical and emotional needs of residents
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and consistently
• Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and patient records
• Assist residents with mobility and personal hygiene to promote dignity and comfort
• Implement and uphold infection control protocols and safety compliance
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and healthcare team members
• Ensure a safe environment for residents by following established safety procedures

Required Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in nursing assistance
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of patient care, vital signs monitoring, and infection control
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong communication skills and empathy
• Effective time management and teamwork abilities
