Southern Utah Veterans Home, Ivins, Utah is now hiring for a Free CNA Class!

• Classes start September 14th and will be new hire orientation on September 9th
• Get paid while studying to be a CNA. ($12/hour)
• Must apply and be accepted into the class after a face-to-face interview and background check.
• We typically have 10-12 students in the class. (we have 100% pass rate as well)

Job Description

The Southern Utah Veterans Home is seeking motivated$12/individuals to participate in our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Class. This program is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience to prepare students for a rewarding career in long-term care and healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Attend and actively participate in all classroom and clinical training sessions.
• Learn and demonstrate basic nursing skills including patient care, hygiene assistance, and vital signs monitoring.
• Provide compassionate care to veterans and residents under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe learning environment.
• Complete all required coursework, exams, and clinical hours to meet certification requirements.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. (must be 18 or older).
• Strong desire to work in healthcare and assist veterans.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform patient care tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.

Additional Information

Upon successful completion of the CNA Class, participants will be eligible to take the state certification exam and may have opportunities for employment at the Southern Utah Veterans Home or other healthcare facilities.
