The Certified Nurse Aide provides direct care to residents, including resident hygiene and activities of daily living, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide performs those direct careactivitiesthatarepermittedtobedelegatedtounlicensedpersonnelundertheNewYorkStatePracticeAct,applicableregulations,hospitalpolicies,NewYorkStateLongTermCareregulations,andstandardsestablishedbyNursingServices.
TheCertifiedNurseAidealsoperformssupportfunctionsfortheunit/departmentasassignedbytheappropriateRegisteredNurseand/ormanager.
Education/SkillsRequired:
Asapplicable,theindividualmustdemonstratethetrainingandcompetencynecessarytoattendtothespecialneedsand/orbehaviorsappropriatetotheageoftheresidentsforwhomcareisbeingprovided.
