Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating, ensuring comfort and dignity with focus in hospitality.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood-pressure.
- Support residents in moving safely, whether through walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, or repositioning to prevent pressure ulcers.
- Effectively communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team to relay important information regarding resident health and well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to hygiene and infection control protocols, including proper disposal of waste and sanitization procedures.
- Accurately record care provided, changes in residents’’ conditions, and any incidents in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Support nursing team with clinical tasks and participate in care plan meetings to enhance the quality of care for the residents.
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements in long-term care.
