Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

 

UNIT OVERVIEW:

Welcome to General Medicine/Oncology (3 East)! 3 East is a 20-bed unit specializing in oncology care and observation stays. We care for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical conditions, including inpatient chemotherapy, oncology diagnostic workups, abnormal laboratory findings, cellulitis, pneumonia, congestive heart failure, chest pain evaluations, and anemia. You will also have opportunity to care for surgical patients.  Our team is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, supportive environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and compassion.

 

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
