Responsibilities
As a valued caregiver, your duties will include:
- Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Preparing nutritious meals and offering feeding support as needed
- Administering medication reminders as per care plan
- Performing light housekeeping tasks, laundry, linen changes, and maintaining a clean, secure environment
- Providing companionship, engaging in conversations, and offering emotional support to enhance the quality of life
- Accompanying clients to appointments and assisting with errands when required
- Observing and reporting any changes in clients' physical, emotional, or mental well-being
- Delivering compassionate, dignified, and reliable care while upholding each client's independence
Requirements
- Preferably possess a current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; experienced Home Health Aides (HHAs) are strongly encouraged to apply
- 1-2 years of recent experience in home care, private-duty, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Up-to-date TB test or chest X-ray results
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Capability to work independently with professionalism and confidentiality
- Passion for delivering patient-centered and compassionate care
