Shift: Night Shift – 5x8 Hours (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW) & Holidays Required
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a Long Term Care (LTC) / Subacute Skilled Nursing assignment in Edison, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have prior LTC experience and be comfortable working with rehabilitation, post-operative, geriatric, disabled, and COVID-positive patient populations.
The CNA will work collaboratively with the nursing and rehabilitation teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while ensuring resident safety, comfort, and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Support ambulation, ROM exercises, and transfer assistance
- Provide feeding assistance and maintain calorie counts
- Perform personal hygiene, grooming, bed making, and skin care
- Complete AM/HS care and monitor vital signs
- Record intake/output and bowel movements accurately
- Respond promptly to call bells and report changes in patient condition
- Assist with room transfers and post-mortem care as needed
- Follow restorative nursing care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CNA experience required
- Previous LTC / Subacute Skilled Nursing experience required
- Active New Jersey CNA License required
- BLS Certification (AHA) required
- Ability to float throughout the facility as needed
- Must be comfortable working with COVID-positive patients
- Ability to successfully complete facility competency testing during the first week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with geriatric and disabled patient populations
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an approved CNA program required
