What You'll Do
As a CNA with JABA, you'll be an essential member of our Adult Day team, providing compassionate, person-centered care while helping create a welcoming and engaging environment for participants.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting participants with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, transfers, mobility, and other activities of daily living.
- Monitoring participants and reporting changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
- Supporting safe medication observation and nursing care under the direction of licensed staff.
- Encouraging participant independence while respecting individual preferences and dignity.
- Assisting with meals, snacks, hydration, and nutrition monitoring.
- Leading and participating in meaningful activities including games, crafts, gardening, music, exercise, celebrations, and community outings.
- Helping create an environment where every participant feels valued, respected, and engaged.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and following infection prevention and safety procedures.
- Working collaboratively with nurses, activity staff, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications
Required
- Current CNA certification or PCA/DCA certification
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- One to three years of direct care experience
- Ability to safely assist participants with mobility and personal care
Preferred
- Experience working with older adults
- Adult day, long-term care, dementia care, or memory care experience
- Associate degree or vocational training
