Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
Offering a $1000.00 Sign on Bonus
Shifts Available: Day Shift (6:00am-2:00pm) Evening Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) and Night Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Position Summary
The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides direct resident care and support services under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promotes resident comfort and dignity, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Help residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Assist residents with meal service, feeding, and hydration as needed.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or mental condition to the charge nurse.
- Measure and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other assigned observations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
- Participate in resident activities and encourage social interaction when appropriate.
- Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Attend required staff meetings and in-service training programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned within CNA scope of practice.
Evening Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) Responsibilities
- Assist residents with afternoon and evening routines.
- Support meal service, dining assistance.
- Help residents prepare for bedtime, including personal care and positioning.
- Communicate resident status and care needs during shift change reports.
Night Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) Responsibilities
- Provide overnight care and monitoring of residents.
- Perform scheduled rounds and safety checks.
- Assist residents with toileting, repositioning, and comfort measures throughout the night.
- Maintain a quiet and restful environment for residents.
- Complete overnight documentation and prepare residents for morning routines.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in good standing with the state.
- Current CPR certification preferred, we do offer classes.
- Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents with or without assistance devices.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds or more with assistance as needed.
