UW Medicine UW Medical Center-Montlake - 7NE ONCOLOGY has outstanding opportunities for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) (Job Profile) position. Working Job Title: Nursing Mobility Assistant
SCHEDULE:
60% FTE - 24 hours per week
Day shift
Set schedule: Mon-Wed
The Nursing Mobility Assistant provide direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse. Typical duties include assisting patients with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment of care, preparing patients for surgery, close observation of confused patients, transportation, maintenance of equipment and supplies, and clerical tasks. PCTs may serve in several roles, including, Constant Observer and General Unit PCT.
Position Highlights for Nursing Mobility Assistants:
• Direct patient care including exercise, mobilizing, ambulating or positioning as directed by nursing and/or therapy staff
• Setting up mobility events for patients
• Be UW Medical Center’s expert in mobilizing patients
Primary Job Responsibilities for Nursing Mobility Assistants:
• Organization and prioritization of mobility tasks for designated oncology patient population
• Maintenance/set up of mobility equipment and resource for nursing staff on this equipment
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to maximize mobility events and enhance progress toward the improvement of patient outcomes

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
