Looking for a passionate, dependable, caring person to assist our client in Elmhurst with their ADLs (activities of daily living) in their own home. If you would prefer a job that is 1 on 1 please apply!
HOURS AVAILABLE: (11 hrs/wk)MON - (9:30am- 1:30pm)WED - (9:30am- 1:30pm)FRI - (9:30am- 12:30pm)If you are not available for this exact schedule, but you can do something close, we still want you to apply! There may be potential for additional care hours with a separate client as well, based on client proximity and caregiver availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and feeding
- Providing companionship and conversation
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changing
- Planning and preparing meals
- Providing medication reminders
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have Dementia experience
- Ability to interpret the client’s provided plan of care
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- nonsmoker
- Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus!
- You will not work with ARIS at home as a certified nursing assistant (CNA, C.N.A.), but as one of the following: caregiver, companion, personal care attendant, HHA, CHHA, H.H.A., home health aide, home health worker, home care caregiver, homemaker
