Summary:

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned Residents with routine daily nursing care services in accordance with the Resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors.
• Follow work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift.
• Assist Resident in personal nursing care function such as mouth care, dressing, bathing and nail care.
• Assist Residents in preparing for activity and social programs (i.e., church services, parties, visitors, etc.).
• Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting Residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheel chairs, lifts, etc.
• Answer Resident calls promptly
• Report injuries of an unknown source, including skin tears.
• Assist Resident with meals as needed and identifying food arrangements.
• Ensure that you treat all Resident’s fairly, and with kindness, dignity and respect.
• Report all allegations of Residents abuse and/ or misappropriation of Resident property.
• Honor the Resident’s refusal of treatment request. Report such requests to your supervisor

Education and Experience:

• Must possess, at a minimum, an 8th grade education.
• Hold a current CNA in state of New Jersey.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and general public.
