Job Purpose:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at EHM Senior Solutions plays a crucial role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. This position is integral to ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents in a healthcare setting, supporting their daily needs and enhancing their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, and report any changes to the nursing staff.
Help residents with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a nurturing and positive environment.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of residents rooms and common areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met according to individual care plans.
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in caregiving practices.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care or geriatric care
Experience working with elderly patients or residents in a nursing home or similar environment
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members
Ability to perform basic nursing care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety protocols
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and moving patients
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
