    Position Summary

    The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Weekender is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents while supporting the clinical team during weekend shifts. This role plays a critical part in ensuring continuity of care, resident comfort, and a positive experience for residents and their families.

    Schedule

    This position is designed to provide consistent weekend coverage.

    A typical schedule may include:

    • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, or
    • Saturday and Sunday (extended shifts)

    Specific schedule to be determined based on campus needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
    • Assist residents with meals, hydration, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
    • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
    • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
    • Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
    • Respond to call lights and resident needs in a timely and respectful manner
    • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
    • Uphold and model the organization's mission, vision, and values in daily interactions

    Qualifications

    • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Nebraska
    • Previous long-term care or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Reliable attendance, especially for weekend coverage

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents (up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance)
    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting
