CNC Programmer \nThis opening is on 2nd shift from 3:00PM-11:00PM \nJOB SUMMARY\n \nCNC Programmers are responsible for interpreting project blueprints, designing programs and setting up machines to produce the appropriate cuts. \nTheir primary job roles and responsibilities are listed below.\n \nJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES\n \nInterpreting project blueprints and understanding the specifications and requirements \nDesigning and programming computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools using CAD/CAM software \nSetting up the CNC machines, including loading raw materials and conducting test runs to ensure a successful operation \nCreating and maintaining documentation and records of CNC programs \nModifying existing programs to enhance efficiency or to adapt to new production requirements \nInspecting the produced components for conformity to design specifications, using precision measuring tools \nMaintaining a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations \nTroubleshooting machine malfunctions and conducting minor repairs\n \nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\n \nProven work experience as a CNC Programmer \nAbility to read and interpret technical blueprints \nStrong knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation \nSkilled in the use of measurement tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers) \nA keen eye for detail and precision \nExcellent problem-solving skills \nAbility to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects \nHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification\n \nBe able to Program and edit using G code \n2D and #3D programming\n \nTRAINING/SKILLS\n \nGood mechanical skills and aptitude \nAttention to detail and precision measurement \nAbility to operate CNC mills, lathes and grinders \nGood communication skills \nTeamwork: Although much of the work is done independently, CNC operators must collaborate with other team member \nBasic math skills\n \nOTHER DUTIES \nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
