About the Opportunity Drawbridge is hiring a CNC Brake Press Operator for an established equipment manufacturer in Arvada, CO. The role starts as a contract position and can convert to permanent employment. You'll set up and run forming equipment, work from blueprints to tight engineering tolerances, and help keep a safe, organized shop that keeps getting better.
What You'll Do
Set up and operate press brakes, CNC rolling equipment, and other forming equipment
Read blueprints and meet engineering tolerances on metal parts
Find material and confirm grade, size, and quantity by visual inspection and measurement
Review customer orders and log work in the company ERP system
Do routine maintenance on equipment as directed
Keep your work area clean and organized
Join team meetings focused on process improvement
Follow all company safety (HSE) policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of brake press operating experience
Experience with CNC controls
Experience forming heavy steel plate from 1/8" to 3/8"
Forklift experience
Ability to read blueprints and tell parts and part numbers apart
Solid measuring skills, plus fraction, decimal, and metric conversions
Basic computer skills for entering work into an ERP system
Good written and verbal communication
Ability to read and follow written instructions in English
Ability to juggle several tasks and adjust when priorities change
Nice to Have
CNC plate rolling experience
Experience with reverse logistics processes
Physical Requirements
Lift and move up to 50 lbs
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, and grip with your hands regularly
Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, plus depth perception
Pay & Benefits
$26–$31 per hour, based on experience
