A diverse and growing metal fabrication shop is looking to add a CNC Brake Press Programmer & Operator to its team. This role is essential to our commitment to producing high-quality, precision-formed sheet metal components for a wide range of industrial applications. CNC Brake Press Operator Requirements:
Operate Strippit LVD CNC and NC Brake Presses
Operate CNC and manual press brake equipment to form sheet metal parts according to engineering drawings and production requirements.
Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and adjust back gauges and bend sequences for optimal accuracy.
Interpret blueprints, flat patterns, and work orders with a high level of precision.
Perform first-article inspections and verify part dimensions using calipers, protractors, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Maintain consistent quality throughout production runs by monitoring machine performance and making necessary adjustments.
Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading sheet metal using hoists or manual methods.
Schedule:
1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday, 1/2 days on Saturdays for overtime sometimes available
Pay: $20-$26/hr based on experience
CNC Brake Press Operator Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience operating a press brake in a fabrication or manufacturing environment (experience with CNC press brakes preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, bend deductions, and fabrication symbols.
Strong understanding of sheet metal materials, thicknesses, bend allowances, and forming characteristics.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Forklift or overhead crane certification.
Experience with Amada, Accurpress, Cincinnati, or similar CNC press brake systems
