Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Terrell area (near Forney, TX) to add an experienced CNC CAM Programmer who can turn prints and specs into efficient, reliable programs.

A day in this role

You start by reviewing customer drawings, tolerances, and GD&T callouts. You open your preferred CAD/CAM platform (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, or similar) and generate clean tool paths for mills, lathes, or routers. After simulating, you post G-code and M-code, collaborate with machinists on setup and first-part validation, and make on-the-fly edits to cut cycle time and reduce scrap. Throughout the day, you maintain revision control and tidy documentation so the floor always has the latest program.

Compensation

$24–$40 per hour DOE

Core responsibilities

  • Create and edit CNC programs for mills, lathes, and routers
  • Build tool paths using CAD/CAM software
  • Interpret prints, tolerances, and customer specifications
  • Optimize feeds, speeds, and strategies to improve cycle time and reduce scrap
  • Support machinists with setup and troubleshooting
  • Own program revisions and documentation control

What you bring

  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience
  • Hands-on CAD/CAM skills (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, etc.)
  • Solid command of G-code and M-code
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
  • A practical manufacturing mindset focused on quality and throughput
