As a CNC Centerless Grinder Technician, you’ll be responsible for programming, setting up, adjusting, and operating high precision centerless and OD grinding machines to produce highly precise components used in life- saving medical devices.Programming and Set-up of Precision OD & Centerless Grinding Machines. Set-up and operate all Grinding equipment. Includes basic set-up, tool changing and minor adjustments to ensure the set-up and cycle times meet what we have quoted to the customer.

Job Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate centerless grinders (in-feed and thru-feed) and OD grinders to meet tight medical device tolerances.
Programming and Set-up of Precision OD & Centerless Grinding Machines.
Read and interpret complex part drawings, ensuring parts conform to engineering and customer specifications.
Read and interpret complex part drawings. Turn the drawings into functional parts.
Perform precise setups, tooling changes, and adjustments to achieve quoted cycle times.
Set-up and operate all Grinding equipment.
Includes basic set-up, tool changing and minor adjustments to ensure the set-up and cycle times meet what we have quoted to the customer.
Rigorously follow documentation protocols — recording setups, measurements, and production results per medical device regulatory requirements.
Conduct inspections using a range of metrology methods (contact and non-contact) to verify surface finish, straightness, concentricity, and other critical dimensions.
Use multiple metrology methods (contact and non-contact) to verify part configuration and conformance to print specification – surface finish, straightness, concentricity, etc.
Maintain strict cleanliness and housekeeping standards to comply with medical manufacturing quality systems.
Develop tooling and gauging to produce and measure complex part geometries.
Develop and maintain process capabilities, tooling, and gauging solutions for complex geometries.
Troubleshoot machine issues, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with equipment/tooling providers when needed.
Troubleshoot parts during set-up and run cycles to ensure cycle times quoted are met.
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement and resolve production challenges.
Uphold all safety and regulatory requirements while contributing to a culture of operational excellence.
Ensure daily output is met and machines are running on adhering to production schedule at expected quality levels.
Interfacing with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering personnel to resolve production issues and collaborate on quotes with Contract Review
Maintain safety standards and comply with standard operating procedures.
Troubleshoot machines and feeder systems and collaborate with outside machine tool providers.
Assists with special projects as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
Experience in centerless grinding or CNC precision machining, preferably in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
Previous experience in an industrial, team manufacturing environment is desired, but not required.
Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude with ability to read technical drawings.
Ability to continuously follow instructions explicitly.
Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), documentation protocols, and quality inspection tools.
Ability to continuously follow safety protocols.
Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and preventative maintenance.
Ability to determine output quality based on specification measurement as instructed.
