is currently seeking a CNC Experimental Machinist 2 for our client Northrop Grumman at location Redondo Beach, California, United States Onsite.

Job Description

The CNC Experimental Machinist will operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines, writing machine programs using MASTERCAM and applying conventional machining skills to produce precision parts. Duties include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, following processes and specifications, and maintaining strong communication with team members. This role requires operating Haas CNC machines and potentially other equipment with the ability to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Mastercam for programming complex parts
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance with SAR program access
• High School Diploma or GED and minimum 5 years of CNC programming and machining experience
• Prior experience operating Haas CNC machines
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 or more years of related CNC machining experience
• Experience with Mazak CNC machines
• Ability to operate EDM and Plunge Sinker machines
• Current Secret security clearance
• Prior experience with SAR program access approval
