CNC Grinder Technician: Rockford, Illinois
Our customer in Rockford, Illinois is seeking experienced CNC Grinder Technicians to join their team on 1st shift. As a CNC Grinder Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC grinding equipment while ensuring high-quality, precision parts are produced safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities of the CNC Grinder Technician:
- Set up, operate, and make advanced adjustments on CNC Palmary Grinders using Fanuc controls to meet production and quality standards.
- Develop, prepare, optimize, and maintain CNC programs, fixtures, and setup procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve grinding and machining issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect parts during production using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Perform first-piece inspections and complete all required quality and production documentation.
- Monitor in-process inspections to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Provide guidance and technical support to CNC Grind Operators, including assistance with setups and troubleshooting.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate setup sheets, logs, and process documentation.
- Follow all safety policies, use required PPE and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
CNC Grinder Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Must have 3+ years of CNC grinding or CNC machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part schematics.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Ability to use required hand tools including drills, screwdrivers, and impacts.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, reach, grip, push, and pull throughout the shift.
- Required use of safety equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed footwear.
Pay for CNC Grinder Technician: $25.00–$28.50/hour.
