CNC Haas Machinist

Prater Industries is seeking a detail‑oriented and dependable CNC Operator to join our Operations team. In this hands-on role, you'll produce high‑quality machined parts by programming and operating CNC equipment while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

What You'll Do

• Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, including installing and adjusting tooling and fixtures.
• Primarily focused on a 5 axis Haas horizontal mill.
• Program CNC machines by entering proper instructions and machining parameters.
• Monitor machining operations and verify accuracy using measurement tools.
• Troubleshoot issues, adjust programs, and maintain tooling as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure safe work practices.
• Manage and track material inventory.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
