CNC Laser Cutting Technician
A day in the life
You arrive, review the production schedule, then load the next nest into the CNC laser. With the blueprint at your side, you verify dimensions and tolerances, fine-tune feed rates and focus heights, and complete a first-article inspection. Throughout the shift you monitor cut quality, adjust parameters to reduce scrap, and keep the machine running smoothly. When an alert pops up, you diagnose and correct it, log performance data, and move clean, accurate parts to the next step. You wrap up by documenting output, cleaning your work area, and collaborating with the team on tomorrow’s run plan.
