Join J&K Commercial Construction as a CNC Laser Machining Technician

J&K Commercial Construction is growing our stainless and sheet metal manufacturing operation and seeking an experienced professional to run laser cutting systems and contribute to a collaborative fabrication team.

A day in the role

You start your shift at 6:00 AM, review the day’s build sheets, confirm materials, and set up the sheet and tube laser cutting equipment. You load stock, verify programs, and run first-article parts. Throughout the morning, you’re reading drawings, checking dimensions, and keeping the laser cutting cells running efficiently. After lunch, you deburr and prepare cut components, lend a hand to the press brake team as needed, and keep your area clean and organized so the next job flows smoothly. You wrap up by collaborating with teammates to plan tomorrow’s priorities.

What you'll handle

• Operate and monitor sheet and tube CNC laser cutters
• Load/unload materials, stage jobs, and verify programs
• Set up tooling, run production, and track quality
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Inspect and measure parts for accuracy
• Deburr and prep laser-cut components for downstream fabrication
• Support press brake operations as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area
• Coordinate with the fabrication team to keep projects on schedule
• Cross-train on additional fabrication processes and equipment

What makes you a great fit

Previous laser cutting machine experience is required.

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to obtain forklift, industrial safety, and CPR certifications after hire

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Overtime is available and may occasionally be required based on workload.

Pay & Benefits

$18.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
