CNC Laser Operator – Sheet Metal Fabrication

Job Overview


7 Metals Manufacturing is a precision sheet metal fabrication company serving high-tech and semiconductor customers. We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication.


This role requires someone who can set up and run Mitsubishi CNC laser machines, read blueprints, and maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Set up and operate Mitsubishi CNC laser cutting machines

  • Load and unload sheet metal materials safely and efficiently

  • Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work orders

  • Select correct cutting parameters based on material type and thickness

  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards

  • Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues

  • Work closely with fabrication, forming, and production teams to meet production schedules

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 4+ years CNC laser experience in a sheet metal fabrication shop

  • Experience operating Mitsubishi laser machines preferred

  • Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

  • Knowledge of sheet metals including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

  • Experience handling and processing sheet metal materials

  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards

  • Ability to work independently and keep machines running efficiently

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with laser nesting software

  • Experience in a high-mix sheet metal fabrication environment

Job Details


Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per week


Pay: $25 – $30 per hour depending on experience
