A CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) lathes to produce precision metal parts and components. This role requires interpreting technical drawings, conducting machine maintenance, and ensuring all produced parts meet strict quality standards. The operator works closely with the production team to optimize processes and maintain efficient workflow.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathe machines according to job specifications and blueprints
Adjust machine settings to optimize production efficiency and quality
Monitor machines during operation for proper functioning and quality assurance
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC lathe equipment
Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with dimensional and quality standards
Utilize and abides by AS 9100D requirements and safety procedures
Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in CNC machining and CNC lathe operation
Knowledge of machine maintenance procedures
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well in a team environment
