Cnc Lathe Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC lathe operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines to produce precision metal components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tight tolerances, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials (carbon steel, stainless, alloys, etc.)
• Perform basic program edits and offsets as needed (Fanuc, Haas, or similar controls)
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure product quality meets standards
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC lathe operating experience (set-up experience preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T is a plus
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

• Experience machining oil & gas components (valves, flanges, fittings)
• Knowledge of tooling and cutting techniques
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues
• Experience with manual machining is a plus

Work Environment

• Shop/manufacturing environment
• Standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Overtime and weekend work may be required
