Position Summary

We are seeking an experiencedCNC Lathe Machine Operatorfor our client near Decatur, AL. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality machined parts while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. ️ Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines

• Load parts, cycle machines, and monitor machine performance

• Detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools

• Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, sawing, and sandblasting

• Read and interpret blueprints and follow routers

• Use calipers and measuring tools to inspect finished parts

• Maintain quality and safety standards at all times

• Work with chemicals, solvents, adhesives, and lubricants as required

• Update production records and complete necessary paperwork

• Maintain a clean and organized work area; perform preventative maintenance

Requirements

• Experience operating aMazak Vertical Milling Machine(required)

• High School Diploma/GED or technical school graduate

• Minimum 2 years of Lathe machine shop experience

• Ability to accurately read a tape measure (assessment required)

• Ability to read drawings and perform basic math calculations

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work occasional overtime

• Steel-toe boots required

• Must pass background and drug screening

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal)
