CNC Lathe Machinist - Defense Search
OVERVIEW
Are you looking for a new career opportunity with an exciting Defense/Aerospace company?! Then we've got the right team for you! In this role, you're responsible for the duties listed below.
Immediate opening for a CNC Lathe Machinist in Paramount, CA who possesses:
- 5+ years of experience with CNC lathe operations
- Dedication to learning and growing as a machinist
- Ability to read blueprints and mill experience is a plus

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Operate CNC cell consisting of 3-5 CNC machines one of which may be a CNC mill.
- Check parts with provided micrometers, height gages, thread gages, bore gages, air gages, indicators to check
- run out and use any other inspection tools provided.
- Provide in process parts to inspection to validate inspection done at the machine.
- Adjust offsets as required to ensure parts meet blueprint requirements.
- Change tools as required and re-check dimensions after tool change.
- Inform first shift of any issues encountered on second shift.
- Stay focused on ensuring parts meet print and keeping machines running.
- Operate all machines in a safe manner.
- Do not operate any equipment that you do not know how to use.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Keep completed parts on a sperate pallet.
- Segregate and paint red any non-compliant parts.
- Do not use cell phone while working, use on break time or lunch time only.
- Stay in cell during work hours.
The selected candidate will also possess:
- 5 years of experience running CNC lathes
- Ability to read blueprint.
- Ability to use hand tools to measure parts.
- Good attendance. Must show up on time every day.
- Must be able to organize tools, parts and work area.
- At minimum must be a High School graduate.
- Must know shop math.
Salary Range: $33-45/hour
