WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the CNC Lathe Machinist, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications or equivalent.
Set up, operate, and adjusts semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequence of operations.
Requires knowledge of operations including drilling, boring and milling, turning, etc., employing recognized tooling and procedures and where tolerances are close, but not difficult to maintain.
Operators may run more than one unit simultaneously.
Must be able to check parts for conformance to specifications.
Maintain, implement, and improve 5-S Principles.
Perform regular department housekeeping duties as necessary.
Sustain production standards and quality.
Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling
Performs daily and regular cleaning and light machine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
ABOUT YOU:
High School Diploma or GED.
5+ year related training or work experience.
Knowledge of machining techniques and methods
Familiarity with setting up and running 3 and 4 axis CNC lathes
Ability to read & follow verbal & written work instructions in the English language.
Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications
Able to operate and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequence of operations where programs are provided, and setups are often made and maintained by others.
Must be able to check parts for conformance to specifications.
Be a team player who can perform in a fast-paced environment with sense of urgency.
Quality oriented with a hands-on personality, "do it right the first time" personality.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.

Ability to complete tasks within a timely manner.
Ability to work individually and handle multitasking.
Ability to take instructions and communicate instructions as needed.
Manual dexterity skills required.
