We are a staffing for a precision metal machine shop seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist with strong setup skills and sub spindle experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of setting up and running precision CNC lathe work with minimal supervision.
Experience with Fanuc controls and G-code programming/editing is required to elicit the level of pay advertised for this role.
Schedule: 4-day, 10-hour shift Monday – Thursday from 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes, including machines with sub spindles
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job travelers
Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and adjustments
Edit and troubleshoot G-code programs as needed
Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts and maintain tight tolerances
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Work with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to complete jobs accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
CNC lathe setup experience required
Sub spindle experience strongly preferred
Experience with Fanuc controls preferred
Ability to read and edit G-code
Strong blueprint reading skills
Ability to use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools
Experience working in a precision metal machining environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
