Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist Location: Poway, CA Schedule: Full-Time | 2:15 PM 10:45 PM (2nd Shift) Pay: $30-$40/hr (w/ 2nd shift bonus) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This role is responsible for maintaining quality standards, meeting production schedules, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to machine metallic materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and engineering specifications.
Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
Monitor tool life and perform basic deburring or rework as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve machining processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform routine machine maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
3+ years of CNC lathe machining experience.
Experience with G-code programming and machine setup.
High school diploma or GED.
Strong blueprint reading and machining math skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently on 2nd shift.
Knowledge of manufacturing safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace manufacturing experience.
Experience machining Inconel, titanium, and stainless steel.
