CNC Lathe Operator

Pay Rate: Up to $25/hour (based on experience)Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

This company specializes in manufacturing custom thermoset resin castings using epoxy, urethane, and silicone materials. Their products are designed for high-performance applications across industries such as semiconductor, RF/microwave, and medical devices.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join a precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate CNC lathe machines to transform resin castings into high-quality finished products. This position is ideal for someone with strong machining skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced job shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate one or more CNC lathe machines to produce parts to specification
  • Load materials, set up tools, and start/stop machines as needed
  • Read and interpret job travelers, blueprints, and manufacturing drawings
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools such as micrometers, comparators, and gauges
  • Ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications
  • Perform routine machine maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, minor adjustments)
  • Remove and manage scrap materials and maintain proper identification of parts
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Follow all Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
  • Support team needs and perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of CNC lathe experience in a job shop environment
  • Ability to operate multi-axis CNC machines
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, indicators, verniers, CMM, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
