CNC Lathe Operator – Camp Hill, PA

Location: Camp Hill, PA, United States

Pay Range: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour

Shift: Second shift, Monday–Friday [Hours: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM]

Role Overview

The CNC Lathe Operator supports precision machining and production operations at Nucor Skyline. This role requires a safety‑driven, dependable teammate who can operate CNC equipment, handle materials, and perform physically demanding work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safety compliance — Follow all established safety procedures and uphold Nucor Skyline's safety culture at all times.
• CNC program changes — Change CNC lathe programs, set tools, adjust offsets, and ensure proper machine setup.
• Overhead crane operation — Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
• Material movement — Lift, push, pull, and maneuver heavy materials throughout the production area.
• Fast‑paced production work — Perform machining tasks in a physically demanding, high‑volume environment.
• Cross‑functional teamwork — Support multiple roles and collaborate with teammates to meet time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Inventory management — Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with material tracking.
• Hand tool operation — Use basic hand tools for machine setup, adjustments, and general tasks.
• Schedule flexibility — Work various shifts as needed to support production demands.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• CNC experience
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC programming experience
• Pipe threading experience
• Previous CNC production experience
• Ability to read and interpret machining instructions or basic blueprints
• Overhead crane or industrial material handling experience
