CNC Lathe Operator
Location: Painesville, OH
Pay: $25.00 – $29.00/hr (DOE – higher for the right experience)
Shift: Full-Time
Hire Sync is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join a well-established precision manufacturing team in Painesville. This is a great opportunity for a skilled machinist who takes pride in quality work, enjoys working with precision equipment, and has experience in a production machining environment.
This role supports high-precision machining operations producing quality components for industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong lathe experience, the ability to work independently, and a solid understanding of machine setup and inspection processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate vertical and/or horizontal CNC lathes in a production environment
- Work with Mori Seiki and/or Doosan machines (experience strongly preferred)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Make machine adjustments, offsets, and basic edits as needed to maintain quality
- Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet tight tolerances
- Maintain production flow while ensuring quality standards are consistently met
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
What we’re Looking For:
- Strong experience operating CNC lathes (vertical or horizontal)
- Hands-on experience with Mori Seiki and/or Doosan equipment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Skilled in using precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced machining environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
