CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator

Job description:

We are currently seeking a full-time CNC Lathe/Programmer operator. The candidate must possess good communication skills, be self-sufficient, pay close attention to detail, and be a Team Player.

Responsibilities:

1. CNC Programming for 2, 3 or 4 axis MAZAK Turning centers with MAZATROL

2. Design and oversee the production of fixtures and tooling

3. Support Ongoing machining processes by providing technical expertise

4. Shop Floor Assistance whenever needed

5. Communicate with engineering if needed for additional details

Required Requirements:

1. Candidate must have 3+ years of experience programming and run small to large production lots.

2. Extensive knowledge of feeds, speeds, and cutter selections for appropriate jobs.

3. Familiarity with inspection equipment and methods.

4. Proficient in the interpretation and use of engineering design drawings and technical specifications.

5. Must be capable of holding tolerance to +/-0.0005 and selecting the proper cutting inserts for the jobs.

6. Parts are small in size and are made of different materials, thus Experience working with these different materials is a must: Tool steel, Stainless Steel, Carbide, Copper, titanium, etc.

7. Read and use precision measuring tools for inspecting products after production and ensure specifications and tolerances are met.

Additional Qualifications A Plus:

1. Experience with grinders and Bridgeport.

2. Manual experience is a plus

3. Supervisory experience is a plus
