Our client is a high precision aerospace job shop looking to add a CNC Lathe Programmer to their team. This role supports low volume, high complexity work where accuracy, repeatability, and attention to detail are critical. Parts are small, geometrically complex, and require tight tolerance control.This is a hands on programming role that works closely with machining and setup teams in a clean, climate controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create and modify CNC lathe programs using Mastercam
  • Hand edit G and M code at the machine as needed
  • Support CNC lathe setups, prove outs, and first piece runs
  • Work from blueprints, models, and process documentation
  • Collaborate with machinists to troubleshoot programs and processes
  • Support continuous improvement in programming and machining methods
  • Ensure programs meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Mastercam programming experience required
  • Experience programming CNC lathes
  • Ability to hand edit G and M code
  • Background in CNC machining strongly preferred
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T comprehension
  • Detail oriented mindset with focus on precision and error prevention
