CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinist
Location: Tulsa Area, OK
Shift: 8am-3pm Monday - Friday
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (DOE)

HireCall is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinist for a premier manufacturing client in the Tulsa area. If you have extensive CNC lathe setup experience, enjoy working with precision equipment, and take pride in producing high-quality parts, we'd like to hear from you!
In this role, you will independently set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture tooling, production parts, and fixtures while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes with little to no supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and customer specifications.
- Select, install, align, secure, and compensate ("COMP") cutting tools and workpieces.
- Proof CNC programs and make minor edits or create simple programs as needed.
- Monitor machine operation and identify machining issues or out-of-tolerance conditions.
- Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify quality and conformance.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
- Meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist in training and sharing knowledge with fellow machinists when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC Lathe setup and machining experience
- Ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes.
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Experience using precision inspection equipment and measuring tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently use hands and arms to handle tools and materials.
- Occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Must have close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to focus.
- Safety glasses (or prescription glasses with side shields) are required at all times.
