Position Description
Day Machine Systems is looking for a hard working individual with the desire to run complex manufacturing operations.
CNC Setup/Operator
Responsibilities:
- Setup/Operate Lathes
- Procure all tooling required for the setup
- Prove out new programs
- Discuss with engineering possible changes to reduce cycle time, tool wear, burrs etc.
- Complete first piece inspection prior to sending part to quality for FAI
- Obtain all proper gaging required to inspect dimensions
- Use blueprints to ensure proper dimensions on finished parts.
- Troubleshoot CNC malfunctions and alert proper personnel when necessary.
- Utilize inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers etc.
When time cycle permits individuals may be asked to run multiple machines per day.
Requirements
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
- Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers etc.
- 5 years minimum experience running CNC Lathes
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs when necessary.
- A desire to learn.
