CNC Machine Maintenance Technician

CR Machine is seeking an energetic CNC Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team as we continue expanding business operations. CR Machine has been family owned and operated for over 50 years. We are conveniently located in Billerica with easy access to all major highways. Our production facility is clean and equipped with world-class technology. We service various industries specializing in stainless steel & high temp alloys.

The following position is available immediately:

1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm (10.5 hr shift). Overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair various CNC machines. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs on all equipment. Utilize real-time data in conjunction with advanced tools troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults. Improve our preventative maintenance program to target zero breakdowns. Must be able to read electrical and mechanical documentation and troubleshoot problems with minimal supervision. Tasks include troubleshooting and repair such as ball screws, bearings, linear guides, parameters/keep relays, backlash adjustments, battery replacement, spindle removal, turret alignments, machine leveling, and servo drives, etc.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical system on CNC machine shop equipment within a manufacturing environment.
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, performance specifications, and operating requirements of industrial machining and manufacturing equipment electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic/ladder logic.
• Ability to operate CNC equipment to verify maintenance and repairs are performed correctly. Familiarity with Fanuc & Mitsubishi controls.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office.
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to write detailed repair reports and service procedures (advanced MS office skills).
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industrial standards.
• Detail-oriented and organized. Analytical thinker who can identify the root of the problem and develops permanent solutions to remedy the issue.
• Self-motivated and able to work well with others.
