CNC Machine Operator 2

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a growing Northeast Ohio manufacturer seeking an experienced Schutte Machine Operator to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with multi-spindle or machining experience who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and taking ownership of their machine and production area.

Responsibilities

• Operate Schutte multi-spindle machines during production runs
• Monitor machine performance and maintain production flow
• Load materials and verify production requirements
• Perform basic machine adjustments and tooling offsets
• Conduct in-process quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Read basic blueprints and verify dimensions/tolerances
• Maintain machine cleanliness and work area organization
• Assist setup technicians during changeovers and tooling prep
• Accurately document production counts, scrap, and downtime
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards

Qualifications

• 1+ years of machining or manufacturing experience
• Ability to operate production equipment independently
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable work history and strong attendance
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Experience

• Schutte, ACME, or multi-spindle screw machine experience
• Setup or changeover support experience
• Lean manufacturing / 5S exposure
• Manufacturing or machining vocational training
