CNC Machine Operator 2

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a growing Northeast Ohio manufacturing company in Massillon, OH to hire an experienced Schutte Machine Operator. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of $20-24/hour based on experience and skill level, plus overtime opportunities. This role focuses on operating Schutte multi-spindle machines, maintaining production quality, performing inspections, and supporting continuous manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has machining experience and is looking to grow into setup and higher-level technical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Schutte multi-spindle machines during production runs
• Monitor machine performance and maintain production flow
• Load materials and verify production requirements
• Perform basic machine adjustments and tooling offsets
• Conduct in-process quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Read blueprints and verify dimensions and tolerances
• Maintain machine cleanliness and work area organization
• Assist Setup Technicians during changeovers and tooling preparation
• Accurately document production counts, scrap, and downtime
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of machining or manufacturing experience
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect finished parts to specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Ability to work independently and maintain reliable attendance
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating Schutte, ACME, or other multi-spindle screw machines
• Setup or machine changeover experience
• Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience
• Manufacturing or machining vocational training
